Local MP visits emh group Academy to offer his support
"emh group has a great team and I wish them all the best in the Money for Life Challenge."
Andrew Bridgen MP
North West Leicestershire MP Andrew Bridgen visited the emh group Academy recently to learn about the Money for Life Challenge run by Lloyds TSB which the emh group apprentices are taking part in.
The Money for Life Challenge is a national competition which provides grants for 16 to 24 year olds to run a project to improve money management skills in their communities. The most inspiring and impactful projects progress to the National Finals, with great prizes on offer.
The apprentices from emh group Academy have based their submission on road safety.
The apprentices said: “We have decided to target new drivers in our local community, and are putting on several events in the surrounding area including Agar Nook, Ashby De La Zouch, and Loughborough to make new drivers more aware of cost efficient ways to save on fuel. This is an area that a lot of people waste valuable money on, and could be prevented by using some simple steps.”
Andrew Bridgen MP said: “It is a great pleasure to be a part of the emh group Academy’s challenge and assist in raising the profile of their project. Road safety is a very important issue, especially considering the high amount of road users and commuters we have living in North West Leicestershire. I think emh group has chosen a great team and I wish them all the best in the Money for Life Challenge.”
