Arena Community

Serves the most vulnerable and hurting across the M1 from J25-J28, which also includes helping some with life-controlling issues. This may be the lone parent doing their best to raise children, while also serving children who are hungry and vulnerable. It also means we do much work amongst those who are elderly and lonely.

Canaan Trust

Based in Long Eaton, the trust serves the needs of homeless men aged 16 – 54 from Long Eaton and other parts of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Are you caring for a child with a disability?  Carers in Derbyshire can help with all types of financial and mental health support.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

CAMHS support children and young people aged 0-18 (and their families) with a wide range of difficulties such as emotional issues, intellectual disabilities and behavioral problems. The specialist CAMHS teams provide services for Long Eaton residents and employ a range of highly qualified and specialist clinicians and therapists.

Derbyshire Recovery Partnership

Provides help and support for those with alcohol and drug problems. They can help you to either stop or gain control of your use and to start building positive relationships for you, your family and your community.

Derventio Housing

Derventio Housing offer safe and secure accommodation and intensive housing management to support people to develop independent living skills, keep their home and ultimately reduce the risk of them facing homelessness again. They also provide specialist services to work alongside people who are taking control of their lives and making positive changes.

Insight

If you are going through a difficult time and struggling to cope, Insight talking therapies offer a free, confidential service. The service is commissioned by the NHS, and it is available for anyone living in Derbyshire over the age of 16.

Moir Medical Centre 

The Centre can offer advice on loneliness, bereavement, cancer support, carers, dementia and domestic support.

Oasis – Time to Talk

A self-help group open to members of the community who are struggling with their mental health. They offer a friendly, safe place to talk, and listening support.

Revival

Offers a free support service to over 55s in Erewash or the Derbyshire Dales. They can help with:

  • Benefit checks
  • Blue badge applications
  • Connecting to social clubs and befriending groups
  • Settling back into home after a hospital stay
  • Referring and signposting to adult social care, GP surgeries and other agencies
  • Making referrals to Derbyshire County Council for care act assessments for free funding of community alarm and telecare equipment

Salcare

Emergency food for single people and families. You can either walk in or be referred by other agencies (social care, refuges, drug and alcohol services, etc.).

Umbrella

Umbrella receives funding from Derby City Council to provide fun activities to children aged 5-18 years. Umbrella can offer one to one support in the home/community as well as fun and exciting social groups including weekend day trips and school holiday play schemes.
