Voluntary Right to Buy

We are taking part in the government’s pilot Voluntary Right to Buy scheme (VRTB) in the Midlands, which launched on 16 August.

Before you can apply to buy your home, you must first register to take part in the government ballot. You can register here.

Please remember when asked to select your landlord to choose emh homes, and not East Midlands Housing Association or East Midlands Housing Group. If you were previously a tenant of East Midlands HA, Foundation HA, Three Oaks Homes or Three Valleys Housing, you are now a tenant of emh homes.

The ballot will be open for one month from 16 August, after which successful applicants will be assigned a Unique Reference Number (URN).

Once you have received your URN you can register with us and start your application. We will be updating this page with an application form once the ballot has closed.

You can find more information about the scheme on the government website, or by downloading our Guidance Notes for Tenants.
