emh homes opens new Support & Information Centre in Ilkeston
“The team is relishing the prospect of working in the centre of Ilkeston, providing support to customers in what is our biggest local authority area. This will complement and enhance the service already provided by our local teams.”
David Morris, Head of Customer Service
To better serve our Erewash residents, we have opened a new office in the centre of Ilkeston.
The walk-in service is designed to support our existing local working, delivered by our Housing and Property Services teams.
Customers will now be able to talk to someone face to face, and the aim is to resolve customer queries at the first point of contact.
The centre will be staffed by a small multi-functional team, working closely with emh homes staff across the organisation to deliver a one-stop shop approach to Erewash residents. The team will also provide digital support to customers to encourage take-up of the landlord’s online services.
The centre, at 51 Bath Street in Ilkeston, will be open from Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm. The pilot service will initially run for two years, after which its impact will be assessed.
The opening of the new office has been welcomed by the local emh homes residents group and other local stakeholders.
