Local MP praises new Support & Information Centre

Erewash MP Maggie Throup has given a thumbs-up to the new emh homes Support & Information Centre in Ilkeston.

Along with Councillor Carol Hart, Leader of Erewash BC, the MP was shown around the new office by Chan Kataria, David Morris, Head of Customer Services and Mari Hughes, Customer Service Centre Manager.

Designed to support our existing local working, the new walk-in centre has enabled emh homes to deliver a one-stop shop approach to our residents from all over Erewash. The small multi-functional team, lead by Steffan Beange, work closely with the Housing & Neighbourhoods and Property Services teams in the area, and also provide digital support to customers to encourage take-up of online services, particularly myhomeonline.

Opened on 31 July for a two-year pilot, after which its impact will be assessed, in the first four months the team has had 1680 visits from customers and handled 4023 cases. And with customer satisfaction at 98% it looks like the project is a great success with visitors.
